Any of the Garmin eTrex, Montana, or Oregon series. That said, use your phone with OnX or GaiAA. I hunted Colorado back country and never pulled my expensive Garmin out and used my phone. I sold my Garmin as soon as I got back and just use my phone w/OnX Maps and Inreach as backup. It's just more use friendly and in airplane mode you can run it all day.

Depends on what you want to use it for while fishing.

If you are looking for general spots(brush piles) or running full tilt on the coast headed toward a cut?

Screen size makes a big difference between those two.

I pretty much just use my phone for hunting and keep my Montana 600 in my truck for back up. Boat run gpsmap 942.

looking for brush piles and chum locations on the water,
main thing on hunting is when im following my tracking dog stuff happens too fast so we get lost a lot, lol. i need a easy to use gps that i can ping my truck and follow a track back. simple stuff but the new gps seem socomplicated i am an old guy not to savvy on tech stuff, but recognize it can be a vauable tool.

This is where OnX is so friendly as they have icons for Blood, gates, truck, camp etc. Nice when you are tracking a wounded animal you can leave breadcrumbs then see if there is a pattern on where they are headed.
