That's what the Guys at LG Ford told me. I'm not going to spend $500 when they can just twist the cylinder again. I hate thieves.
I wish I would have seen your other post sooner. A lot of people, after a break in, order the left rear cover and put it on the left front. No key hole, but, no key hole.
Edit: If you haven't replaced the cylinder, it may be a thought.

We talked about doing that yesterday and removing the rod that goes down to the lock mechanism. Then they would rip all that off and just reach in to unlock it more than likely. I don't normally keep anything in it, but I sure feel vulnerable if someone can just pop in the code to take a look around. Hell then the alarm will not even sound.
Can you ask your guys if wiping the computer will change it Like Autonation is telling me?
The reason I'm worried is because they broke into it this time at my house. All the other times it was while I was around town. My truck sits here all the time and they know where to find it if they want to come back.
All the other times? Geez how many times has it been broken into? Sorry to hear Matt. Now I’m gonna start worrying about mine😄

This was the first time on my 2018. My 2014 got broken into 4 times. Once at Academy in Spring, once at Sea World in SA and twice at our office near the airport.
OP if you try the 139$ fix I would make them demo the new code when you pick it up then try the old code as well and see if still unlocks it. If the old code works they charged you for something you already did.

Sierracharlie out…
A $1 says he doesn't know the factory code. Very few people do.

I won’t dispute that and I’m not saying all dealerships screw you but my local dealership has try to do it to me twice. It’s all a matter of finding a dealership that is run correctly. I now drive 20 minutes out of my way to a better dealership for that reason.
