guys, you dont know much about this if you dont pick something as a cover element. Not having the sun burn you up, the wind cut you and rain keep you awake, that's worth a lot. The cover element can also carry water or food, and can boil water to make it safe to drink, too. You're going to really suffer without it, and it can be life and death, too. The only reason these folks, any of them, last even 3 DAYS, much less 3 weeks, is they never drop them off where it's cold.

if you dont bring a way to purify water, you can be in big, big trouble in just 2 days. yes, you can MAYBE ok drinking from a seep well, or MAYBE you can use some clay to adequately seal a hole in the ground and stone boil in it.
