    22 mag.

was wanting some help in finding reviews on a small gun that I own, the 9422. Since the topic of 22 caliber is very popular, I figured I would capture the moment for some help. I have had mine since '94 but have never gotten the full use out of it. I keep it open sight, for astethics. I am leaning towards shelving it for my son, and purchasing a ruger 10/22LR. I am wanting to know how acurate the 9422 is; being that it can become two pieces with only one screw. I took some pictures off gunbroker to show the 9422; thanks in advance.

Shelve it! Get a cheaper plinker or you could trade me for my 22 mag even up!
Thats a family air loom(sp?) Put it up the kids and buy a cheapo for plinking around. JMHO

Step dad has one.....very accurate. Just an awesome gun period. Don't know what your quarry is with the 10/22 but it seems like accuracy is not their strong suit....plenty fun to shoot though!!

I've got both the 9422 22LR and the 22Mag. Both guns are very accurate and I wouldn't want to part with either.
At the moment, I have a scope on both guns, but they are built to be shot without a scope and I plan to remove the scopes in the near future.
A few years ago, I took both guns to have trigger job done and it made them even better. Now the trigger breaks clean with out any creap.

thanks for the views, after sleeping on the idea, I have decided to not purchase a Ruger 10/22 and I picked up a pellet gun this morning instead. I will never part with my 9422 though. Now I am going to search through the green screen for air gun related topics. Here is the rifle I purchased at Walmart, a Crosman Storm XT .177 (Thanks Again)
