    Getting desperate for hunting

I know people post "Looking for Lease" posts rather frequently, but how often does anyone get replies. I've searched all over the internet looking for a deer lease and can't seem to find any leads. I'm looking between Victoria, Yoakum, Columbus, and West Columbia. I know that's not a popular area, but there has to be somebody hunting there!?

What sources other than word of mouth can be used? I don't have the fund to shell out $5000 a year for a lease, $2500 is max. What is the best way to go about finding a lease?

well 2500 is ok for one person but finding a lease for that cost is tougher in my opinion , now in a group sure . But then you deal with 1 hunter per 50-75 acres and things like that on some leases or you have a hunt spot and your last in so its the crappy area .

The lease thing sure is tough .

Local news papers feed stores , the farmers weekly , CL FB has a few pages on deer leases ..

If you can find a group of good guys that are not out to take your cash and offer nothing in return .

In the old days I knocked on doors let my contact info if they said no and said just in case you change your mind .

Most of that was free or something simple they needed help with .

today deer lease is mega dollars for sure .

IF you post up that you have 2500 tell where you are looking some one will get with you pretty fast . as to if the lase is worth a crap well plan for the lease to be disappointing more than exciting .

I banged around to 4 leases looking even spending money on one , only to find out that he did not own the land nor could he lease it that was after dragging my RV up there setting up blinds feeders over a long weekend . YEP its a crazy world

Good luck maybe the FB links are helpful

Try the local Chamber of Commerce, the County Court House, local feed stores and bulletin boards.
Just a thought ...... good luck.
