I live in Zavala County so if I am not in Vegas, or watching grand-kids, I am usually around. The rut has not started down here but last week's cold spell got them moving around a bit. We just got back from our place north of Crystal City, action was slow for 4 days only seeing a handful of bucks and lots of does. -

Our ranch is on Hwy 57 east of Batesville. We hunted last Friday to Sunday and saw a couple bucks locked down with does already. Lots of scrapes on the ground and bucks scent checking the younger does.Comment
