We also go small on the deke spread in late season and have really good results.

NO CALLS! Only whistles and not much of that either.

Face paint or mask to cover your face.

I actually rinse my gun with fresh water, dry it off, then Rem Oil after every hunt. Keeps the rust off.
This is excellent advice. OP what type of shotgun are you taking? You cannot over oil it after the hunt, saltwater and blued shotguns are an ugly mix but the methods described above do work.

I appreciate it all GS! I will be taking a benelli nova chambered in 12g. I have read that usually a size 2 shot works well for waterfowl, is that what yall have had success with?

Yes on the #2's. Also don't forget snacks, drinks and TP in your shell bag. Don't know where you are staying, but there is a big Valero on the main drag that opens early and makes breakfast taco's anyway you want them. Most of the guides will be running air boats out of Goose Island SP. If you're running from there, you'll probably see us.

We have a place next to seagun, I have used this guide before for fishing and he’s launches out of seagun. Don’t know about the duck hunts though. Good call on the TP, that morning coffee has a way of sneaking up on ya.

Just act/look like you're wade fishing and the ducks will fly right over you....
