    Good TV?

What's a decent TV to buy these days? Seems like prices are all over the place. I just want a decent TV 42-52" Nothing fancy but one that works LOL

Any good sales on them coming up?

    Brands to avoid?

I have all Samsung’s and have been extremely happy with them. From 32 inches to 65 absolutely zero complaints.

Don't know what brand, but Wal-Mart had a 65" 4k on sale today for about $400. They had carts streaming to the front to keep them stocked they were moving so fast.

The LG screens I see while traveling for work look the best at the hotels.

I heard the cheap non”smart” TVs at Walmart are good. I bought a 55” insignia from Best Buy 1.5 years ago. It’s been great, I think it was $500 or less. The guy at Best Buy said it was basically their house brand if I remember correctly.

Have owned Sharp, Sony, Samsung and Toshiba. Brand name won't be the final outcome. I have had good and bad from all brands listed. Good luck. A $150O TV today will be $500 next year.

Bought at least a dozen Samsungs over the years, never had one fail. Several LGs, a couple were replaced on warranty.

For my big "main" TV, I'd go with a Samsung without hesitation.

Data point: we're Roku people, and recently wanted to get an inexpensive smaller Roku TV for a bedroom. I ended up getting a 40" Hisense. This is a new company. OK, it's Chinese. I mean, it's a Chinese TV, not an American TV made in China. But they're really trying to be competitive and VERY aggressive in the market. I know it's "cheap Chinese," but I swear, this is one FINE little TV! 1080P, 120Hz refresh, gorgeous picture. I love the "instant on" feature, where the picture snaps on the instant you push the power button. And what the heck, as always, we got the 4-year Geek Squad warranty from Best Buy, so if it blinks, they fix it or replace it. Prices are about 30% lower than most "name" brands. You can get a 55" Hisense Roku TV with 4K, Smart, 2160P at Walmart for... drum roll... $248.

If you're not so conservative about your money, I'd go with Samsung. There are getting to be more and more features on TVs now, some of which you may not need or use. But if I just needed an "extra" TV for a bedroom, hunting cabin, out in the garage, etc. I'd get a Hisense in a heartbeat.
