Roadtrip time -
Headed to Toledo Bend for a family reunion gathering. Gonna stop for breakfast at The Whistle Stop in downtown Livingston, then head east thru the timber. Probably have to stop at WalMart in Jasper, too bad I left my camera at work.
I've been slammed at work as the last three weeks are my worst for the year. Today I'm heading out to the ERS to smoke some meat and shoot some skeet. I'm ready for a little R &R.

Sounds like it's much deserved Heath!
What a mess it is to get out of Vegas on a Friday... We were only delayed about 30 minutes due to a "paperwork" issue with the ground crew. We made it back to DFW last night about 11:05 PM. The alarm was not very welcomed this morning at 0430 when it went off! I guess sometimes you have to pay to play. Until next time Vegas...
Eagerly woke up to our first all star practice this morning to see it raining! Both Blake and Cory made the Majors All Star team and I'm coaching the team with two good buddies whose son's also made the team.
We travel this next weekend to Lethbridge to play in a practice tournament, then Medicine Hat the following weekend.
July 1-20 District 8 (Calgary) play downs. Must win to advance
July 24-28 Prairie Championships (Lethbridge). Must win to advance
August 4-11 Canadian Championships (Edmonton - In Alberta this year)!
This age group of boys has been watched since they were 10 years old as it's a really strong class. The addition of Cory and Blake into the mix only made them stronger. "On paper" this is one of the stronger teams coming out of Calgary, so the baseball community is excited about the opportunity to make it as far as the Canadian Championships. Hopefully, "paper promises" play out for these boys!

First Majors (12 year olds) All Star practice yesterday. 9 shots across 210 ft fence by 4 different players. 4 ground rule doubles and a ton of one or two hoppers to fence by the 11 players.
I think we might have a fair hitting team this year!

Been staying busy but the busy ain't keeping my mind in its pen. Got my bow out of the camper yesterday maybe carbon slinging will help.
Got a river trip coming up weekend after Fourth of July. Hopefully the fridge in my camper starts cooling, I just don't have $1500 laying around to fix it
