I'll be spending Memorial Day weekend at work, but I'm coming home Tuesday for 8 days. Have a good one, folks!

I live in an area where the older homes (albeit nice older homes) are being leveled and new big houses are being built. The house directly below me was destroyed a couple of weeks ago. Backhoe came in and went through the center of it, then worked it way to the outsides...and in about an hour, it was no mas. Next, the trees in the back of the property were destroyed and the view is completely open to watch the progress.

These guys came out early this morning and I am amazed at how fast and furious they are working today.



Not at all sure why someone is spending that much money on a house, and building it where it backs up to an apartment building.
It's a nice area, but the back of a 5 story apartment building is not the view I would want to have every time I walked in my backyard.

Should be interesting to see how this progresses. Looks like it is going to be a big one!

Trying to get the month finished up good with a rookie truck driver.......I've been spoiled. He's workin his rear off though, hope he gets it down before he gets frustrated.

Rookies, huh? Road tested an experienced driver on Tuesday and he didn't make the cut. Almost took the gate going out and coming back in along with some of the jerkiest shifting I have ever witnessed. Seems all his experince is in a straight truck, little different than driving a 275" Pete with a 48ft trailer behind.

Storm came thru bout 10 and everthing was cool. Woke up about 10 minutes ago to find that the power is out.

House is warm. Dogs are barkin outside. I reckon I will be up for a bit.

Working an extra night for some extra cash. Three more hours then its home for a nap, get up and tidy up the yard, fire up the grill for rib eyes and set back and enjoy. My kids will all be there except for the accoridion playing hs graduate. Hes going to a polka fest somwhere this week end. Not sure where he said it was but he was excited. I do know he will be going thru Corsicana because thats where he will be attending the John Deere Diesel School after graduation. Anyway the rest of us are gonna enjoy some time together and hopefully a delicious steak. Happy Memorial Day everyone. Stay safe.

Good morning TBH! Yesterday I had a facet block (steriods) injected into L4-L5 to buy me some relief as I contemplated the next step(s). Spent yesterday afternoon sleeping off the effects of being put under. Woke up today, more sore than before..but that is expected. Off to a lawn chair soon to watch my all stars play a scrimmage today.

Off to a lawn chair soon to watch my all stars play a scrimmage today.

Careful not to over do it. I've had several of those in L4 and L5 and I think you're supposed to be still for 24 hrs. Have you had the nerve block or just the steroid injections? I never got much relief from them, I hope it works for you.

It covers it all.... except for that small area of green grass that will be in the front, and a tiny area in the back. The lots over there are not cheap....and the houses they are building on them are certainly not either (huge). They spend that kind of money to have the view of an apartment building?

I don't understand it. I would go crazy. I like being able to walk outside naked, not that I do, but I could, if I wanted to

Maybe they didn't want a yard to take care of? but I guess if you have the money to buy a lot and build a house you can hire someone...I think thats the only thing I miss about apartment living, no yard to mess with.

I have had 3 sets of shots of steriods before(same spot L3-L5) and the effects of the shot(not steriods) pain that is lasted about 4 weeks before the steriods kicked in, how does this usually affect you??

the doctor finally said enough and I had to have a rizatamy (sp), have you had one yet???
