Been a good day. Applied for my TWIC card this morning only to discover I was a day early for my appointment. They let me apply anyway. Finger print viewer wouldn't record my prints. They said something about a waiver and a pin number. Told me it happens all the time with old people, their fingers are just wore out.
On to Kingwood College to see about enrolling in some classes. I graduated 38years ago so I had that fish out of water feel. Anyway, 2+ hours waiting to see an advisor who spent 2 minutes filling out a testing form for me. Went upstairs and took the Compass test, aced the reading and writing test and blew it on the math exam. Did great on the PreAlgebra test but the college Algebra bit me in the rear. No problem, we'll start where we can and see what happens. Who knows, in a couple years I could get an Associates degree!

Had my first day of class today. Can't wait to graduate this fall!
Gonna be a long semester at UHV.....

Oh, and I finished my Hog Light off the DIY thread. Just gotta mount a laser and go after some pork!

My mother lives in Mississippi and said she was going to move back to Texas, but my crazy no good Aunt made her change her mind. My family stretches from Georgetown, Texas to Greenville, Alabama now. So much for having the Holidays together. My Aunt is a real psycho and nobody knows when she is going to pop up.

When I went back to take all those Spanish classes, I chuckled a lot. I was always sitting front and center......where those 19/20 year olds were back and corner. They were chatting and texting, I was rapidly taking notes. My how times change when you "go back" to school
