For the first time in many years, this year I found myself without a lease. Not that I didn’t have the chance. I had a big reason why I wouldn’t be pointed West or south this season. As bittersweet as it is not seeing the mesquites pulling up to the front gate, or a good west Texas sunset from the blind. I could not be more excited for the years to come.

We’re about a week out from meeting him.

Now I have one of those “automatic feeder fillers” y’all talk about.

Passed my LTC yesterday! Used an old S&W 38 model 14 to shoot and scored 445 out of 450. Not bad for an old man with an old gun!

No, I have a 9mm that I'll probably carry somewhere. Don't want to freak folks out with a hog leg strapped to my side.

Man it might have changed but I think when I took mine if you qualify with a revolver that's all you are allowed to carry. If you use an auto you can carry either.

I gotcha! I figured you knew what you were doing, that was such a stupid rule anyways.

It’s pretty cool with the change. Old gentleman that had the home built range we used had a suppressed 22 he lets little old ladies use so they don’t hurt their ears.
I shot it when we finished and it was fun.
