i know you said you got a plan now but for those that are following

this is the one i have
    https://www.amazon.com/TP-Link-Wirel...tp+link+ac1900

its awesome, i've not had to reset it but maybe 2 times in 2 years now. and im 100% wireless interent based home (tv, cameras, wifi calling etc) plus 2 teenage girls in the house. house is approx 3k sq' and no dead zones. at all. and the coverage outside is pretty good too.

ordered in haste for my inlaws and got the white one you linked above. the coverage is good, but not as good. only difference is the antennas on mine are powered.

for a little over $100 iv'e been very happy.

I would go with a netgear night hawk. They will handle the range issue very well.

what are the thoughts on this: Actiontec 802.11ac Wireless Network Extender with Gigabit Ethernet (WEB6000Q02)

I just got Spectrum Internet and the far corner of the upstairs isn't as strong. I guess the 5g portion doesn't extend that far, just the slower connection

Netgear...bought last one from Staples and we run several computers, phones, TV and NO worries.

I've been looking at a mesh system, and specifically the eero Pro WiFi System. I just installed a Ring security system and the signal to the floodlight camera was weak. After talking to a very knowledgeable customer service rep, this sounds like the perfect solution. https://smile.amazon.com/eero-Pro-Wi...neration&psc=1

There’s a router table with a cord and switch in the classifieds.

Keith - I've been looking into mesh as well. I almost pulled the trigger on this one from netgear yesterday. It was $200 with the main router and 2 plug ins. What has you leaning towards eero? It seems a little pricey. https://www.amazon.com/NETGEAR-Orbi-...nd+2+satellite

This is what I have. I operate all my devices off of wifi and this system rocks. My components run super fast.

I've been looking at the eero because it's what the Ring tech recommended. I haven't decided exactly which one to get yet, but leaning toward the eero.
