I alsmost went with an RV for my place...ended up buying a 12x24 tough shed. Absolutely love it. I only have electricity in in which cuts down on issues. Cut a hole in the back and installed a window unit. For heat, propane to warm it up...then I go to electric.

I like the homemade cargo trailer into rv setup its not real glamorous but it gets the job done, there's a ton of youtube videos out there on the subject. If your willing to build it yourself you can get something decent to sleep in for a fraction of the cost. Or you could just sleep in a tent haha

I bought an RV on here. Guy posted pictures from the day he bought it.... 5 years later I bought it under the assumption it looked like the pictures he posted. 2650$ for a pos that nothing worked. NO AC NO heat, no water heater, bad sinks and plumbing. Ect. Rat **** everywhere, smelly water damage. Basically got had by one of our beloved members. So I’m with ya, screw RVs.

I got a used travel trailer to put down on my land to have a place for the family and friends to stay. It is a hurricane "survivor" so I knew what I was getting into. It spent 2 months behind my house while I worked on different projects and finally got moved 3 weeks ago. Still work to be done on some things but the essentials work.

The camper was 150 miles away from me so I asked as many questions as I could. Never thought someone on TBH would use pictures that were 5 years old. He was also not open about all the things not working and I couldn’t check anything because it was parked out in the middle of nowhere. So I took his word. Oh and the “brand new” tires had a 4 year old DOT date.

Good Luck with your newer RV OP. New or old, there are always issues. Just a matter of keeping up with everything.

I could of and should of said no but instead I chose to believe a TBH member about things working. Won’t make that mistake again!

I have a 2016 that I bought from a friend who never used it. Still had to have things worked on. That's the way RV's are.
I am on my 3third! I guarantee you, you will have to have work done on a new RV I have. Get ready for the that and don't get in a hurry to ever get your RV back from the shop in a timely manner. The RV industry is horrible to put it nicely.
