Awesome day to spend in the blind

I had a really good day sitting in the blind. The weather was wonderful. Deer were moving all day. I seen 5 bucks total. 2 of them were 160”+ bucks. Seen 9 doe throughout the day. Many of them being chased by bucks. I had some good coffee, good food, and best of all I had my best bud sitting with me. My American Bulldog “Otis”. He’s been with me for 10yrs.....and I know that his days left on this earth by my side are numbered.

This pic is of a right away I hunt every year. I’ve killed deer all up and down it from 35 yards all the way out to 847 yards over there on the hillside. My grandfather got this property back in the early 1960’s. He passed it on to my dad, now I have it after dad passed in 2008. There have been a few Cy Curtis bucks taken on this little piece of land since 1992. Not bad for some Southern Oklahoma scrub oak.

Gonna slip back out there in the morning and have another sit while the sun comes up and see what comes thru.

He’s a good hunting buddy except he snores so loud that sometimes the deer think there is a grizzly bear close by.
