All of a sudden no one here wears starched jeans, come on now!!! LOL. Its a personal choice, no big deal either way. I prefer to wear starched jeans, been doing it that way since high school. They don't have to be starched and I wear them unstarched plenty. I won't pay to take my jeans to the cleaners on a regular basis, too expensive, so I do it myself whenever I feel like it. Stayflo is pretty cheap and I can usually wear a pair of starched jeans a couple days so its all good. Don't sweat it, do what you like.

I still think "starch & irons" look sharp. Not everyday wear for me, but definetly when we go out.
But I don't consider myself a "cowboy" though. To me that's a just a hired hand you pay when it's time to work cows. I'm just a rancher that has his own herd, can handle a horse pretty good, and stick a line on one when ever I have to. I dress how I want, when I want. the only person I'm out to impress is my lovely bride.

LOL, if I was a bartender I would have to keep Zima at the ready for every time someone walked up with starched jeans

I think if you ( or anyone ) is wearing "western wear" they are dressing up for a part. I just wear clothes. I wear jeans because they are relatively tough, but also comfortable. Not to look "cool" or whatever. I wear simple shirts because they are lightweight and cheap. I wear gloves when I need to protect my hands. I wear a "cowboy" hat when Im mowing or sometimes fishing, to keep the sun off.
I do, when the occasion arises, wear nicer clothes. This is for the benefit of others, to show respect at a funeral etc. I dont understand a "guy" dressing up to look cowboy, preppy or whatever.
But I am admittedly weird.Last edited by miket; 11-10-2018, 08:09 AM.
