I have a 2006 500 EFI Ranger. It is having a problem & took it to the shop. Said it was injectors & cleaned them. Didn't fix it. It will run fine & then just quit at times when you let it idle. When it dies like this it takes several tries to get it to start. Scared we are gonna run the battery down trying. Another thing when it does this as you are trying to start it, it almost sounds like it has a little pop/backfire. They checked the fuel pump & said it was OK. Does anyone have a shop they recommend in Houston area or out towards San Saba. Hard to use it,because never know when it is gonna do it again.

Sounds like the tbap needs adjusting. Turn the key on and off 3 times in a row don't engage the starter, on the 3rd time leave it on and see what code flashes. I have the same machine.
