I hope Bigfoot isn’t around, I don’t have a camera good enough for that encounter.

The wind is still the same, but I just had a few more does come sprinting in from the left and kept on going. No clue what’s out there that’s spooning them. I’ve never seen hogs around here and hope it stays that way, but do bob cats come out in the middle of the day? I’ve only seen them in the mornings, evenings, and night.

Good to know, that’s my guess. I’ve seen them and coyotes around here regularly, but the coyotes aren’t exactly stealthy.

Slow, heavy rain drops have started, but does are starting to creep around again!

Rain drops are still coming down, but the does have been coming back individually. I’ve got two bucks out there right now. The first one is 2.5 and has good mass, spread, and body weight for his age. The second is 2.5/3.5 and has good mass, but doesn’t have anything for spread yet. The younger one also has two little bumps that I hope push out into G4s in the next few years.

I’m pleasantly surprised today, I wasn’t really expecting any action.

I came through goldthwait about 1:00 and there was a big one bedded with a doe right out of town past the high school on 574
