BIL was in the same blind this morning. Big bodied deer came out of draw to left about same path as the big guy the day before. It was too dark to see for sure what it was but he said he could make out a high rack. Probably him I would guess, just came a little too early and it doesn't help that legal shooting time is still too dark when it's over cast like today.Comment

Well. The buck only lasted a few more days. My SIL just shot him on the other side of our lease. Prob 3/4 mile away. They’re bringing him into town and I’m going to have a look. Here’s a teaser pic they sent me.

He was running off a smaller buck she said. They’re rutting pretty good in Erath County. My BIL watched a good buck running a doe today. I saw a smaller buck run a doe while duck hunting earlier today.Comment
