Public Mule Deer/Elk

Some friends and I are planning on making a trip up north next year to try and bow hunt mule deer or elk. Undecided on which. I was hoping to see if anyone had any recommendations as to where we should go for our first time?

Colorado is over the counter

Well, NM and CO are draw only for deer. Colorado is over the counter for elk.
I'm not sure where you can buy over the counter mule deer tags but I'm sure there are options

I assume you are asking which state to go to? Colorado for elk. OTC tags for archery elk are unlimited. Do a ton of research and then start asking more specific questions when you have them and you'll get more responses. Good luck!
