We finally closed on the new property and couldn’t be happier!!
It’s been awhile since I’ve updated the progress at Trinity Acres.
In addition to finally getting the neighbors fenced out, some more dirt work and another culvert installed, we’ve made a lot of progress on the shop.
The concrete was poured and gutters with french drains and catch basins have been installed. My son and I wired the shop lights and electric and epoxy coated the floor in the shop area ourselves.
We found a builder we like and contracted to build out the efficiency apartment-living quarters inside. It’s turn key right up to the “move in ready” phase to include septic, HVAC, cabinets, granite countertops, paint-trim, appliances and all.
They’ve completed a lot of work already. Thursday was spray foam insulation day. 2” of closed cell in the shop ceiling and 1” of closed cell in the walls. We went with open cell inside the apartment interior, non parameter walls and pink fiberglass batt in the ceiling joists.
A couple of pics and a short video. I can’t believe how much more structural strength the closed cell spray foam made to the building itself! It’s sturdy, almost like concrete and has really dampened the sound too.
Moving right along [emoji106][emoji106]
