I recall a Kansas Bobcat killing thread a year or so ago. Glad he didn't shoot it. If I remember correctly it's still out of season. I'll have to see if I can find the thread.
Good luck. Hope things pick up.
That is the exact reason no shots were fired. I remember the thread well!!
Clark convinced me to setting up in the only ground blind we have on the property. Well, actually me being dry already, and it being 37 degrees convinced me to make the move.
We put this blind up specifically for a bad weather situation. So, here we are! Clark insisted on running the camera so I'm the designated shooter this evening.
Haven't been settled in 5 minutes and we are getting pics from cell cams.
Mid day movement is crazy right now!!
We are set up in a beautiful creek bottom 1/4 south of where Clark was hunting.
Hoping one of out shooters will show up.
Clark is glassing the pasture toward the NE and sees a small 8 crossing. Big Bob comes out of the cedar thicket on the pasture edge and cuts him off. I grab my bow and Clark grabs the horns.
He is about 200 yards. He never acted like he heard the horns. He cut the corner on the field and disappeared into another thicket.
We both sounded like giddy little girls in excitement.
Since then we have seen 4 does and a spike.
Cameras at other sets are going off left and right.
Deer are on the move.
