I'm settled in.
Day #14
Ive averaged almost 10 hrs per day on a deer stand for the last 10 days, + the 4 days I hunted in October. That's my longest "go" at ever killing a deer in Kansas.
I will say this... Regardless if I kill a deer today or not, I'll chalk this up as a very successful hunt. For hunting a property the first year of having it, we laid eyes on all 3 of our shooters. Passed on a buck that I feel most people would love to have on their wall. And got to do that with one of my best hunting buddies.
I racked my brain trying to figure out where to hunt this morning. When I woke up the cell cam pics made it pretty clear for me. So here I am perched up in a 20' ladder stand where High & Tight was with a doe last night.
I'm gonna sit till 12:00 and if it ain't happened by then it just ain't going to.
Skyline is lighting up and I've already had a dink crunching on acorns. Still got a lot of snow in the ground. It would look great with some blood splattered in it.
