Deer at feeder when walking in

What do y'all do? Quietly get in stand or stay back and wait for them to leave then get in stand.

I got to my stand at 6:30 and had 4 (doe, 2 fawns, and young spike) in my feeder pen. I decided to quietly (or as quiet as a 6'3" 300# person who just walked 1/2 mile in mud sinking to my ankles in every step can) climb into my ladder stand figuring they would leave. Instead all 4 watched me and all morning they keep looking over at me.

I have the "hog pro" app and will play some hog sounds to get them to leave before getting to my stand.

I do the above. Except I make my own hog noises.

If I can sneak in without getting spotted or heard I will. Otherwise I wait it out or back out all together to not blow the spot. No feeders the last places I hunted (PA = illegal, OH = only legal on private land) but if they were already in the plots or at the apple trees, acorns, etc., it could make it difficult. I have blown a lot of deer out of a spot over the years hunting apple orchards in PA, because they would bed right there and in the dark I would not see them, until it was too late. One thing that will scare you in the dark is busting a black bear out of an apple orchard. They make a LOT of noise LOL.

Believe it or not some folks think deer are smart.
I've had several watch me climb out of a tree to run off cows then climb back in and they come right back to the hand corn.

This^^^ is a pretty good trick. I just try to get there a good 45 minutes at least before the feeder goes off and I don’t stress about busting deer in the dark to much.

Evidently I didn't spook them. They cleaned up all the corn before leaving. My feeder throws again in 5 min. I wonder if they'll be back.

Will say one of the fawns was curious. He walked over to within 5' of my ladder. Could easily see his two little bumps on his head he was so close.

I try to plan ahead so I don’t put myself in that situation. But I would turn around and go back to house if I walked up and deer were already in the corn. Most deer on our farm will blow and run. Some does ain’t scared. Some are. I wouldn’t count on a 6 year old buck to stand there and watch you, unless he’s locked down with one that don’t run.

Just don’t look them in the eye and all will be fine

My spots are set up in a way that I can sneak up to my stand without deer at my feeder seeing me. I've killed at least two deer in the past without ever getting in my stand. That's just good planning when setting it all up, and anticipating such an event.

I spook them every time and they never come back. So I stopped walking to my stand or I'll plan my walk to arrive 2 hours before sunrise. Yes, 2 hours. Considering it takes me 50-60 minutes to walk in, it gets pretty early when I leave.

I'm usually in my stand around 5:45, and when the time changes it will be at 5:30.
If I bump a deer that usually gives them enough time to settle down and get over it.
When they are hungry and hitting the corn, the draw is too much for them and they'll be back.

That won't happen in North Texas. The deer up here seem to be wild.
