Lyme disease is no joke, prayers sent.

I treat all of my outdoor clothes with Sawyers. Once dry it is almost scent free, not totally. I have killed a lot of deer with my clothes treated, so I would rather be protected.

It seems doctors either can't diagnose it or are reluctant to. I saw a clip of Avril Lavigne a few weeks ago talking about her Lyme disease. Said doctors kept telling her she was tired or depressed. Ended up bed ridden thinking she would die.

Sounds like you're on the right track with it caught early.

You can then just pack 'em away and wear them when you go into the field... This stuff is 100% effective. Once treated, your clothes can be worn, washed and reworn multiple times and will maintain their effectiveness. I re-treat after about 4 or 5 washings. You can buy spray cans at Academy and other places, but I bought a bottle of concentrate and a spritzer bottle and mix my own... It's much cheaper and it works like a champ.
Ive been looking at concentrates online but some are different than others. Can you recommend which one you buy and how much you cut it with?

Learned that remedy after some Chiggers waged war on me.

This is very serious. take ALL the antibiotic. Just suppressing the lyme and having it flare up again resistant is a night mare. Take this serious sir..

I live and hunt here in the Hill Country year round so I get my share of tick bites (at least 100/year and some years many more). Myself and all the boys have had tick fever as you speak of. When I get the symptoms that you had, I go to the clinic and tell them that I have tick fever and they will put me on an antibiotic, usually tetracycline for a couple of weeks and I am good. Usually get to feeling better after 2-3 days.
Good luck and get on meds asap as lymes can be a bad deal.
                        Adios,
                        Gary

                          stevens6,
I bought the Sawyers concentrate off Amazon that came with the bottle of concentrate and a squirt bottle to mix it in... followed the mixing directions on the bottle... so far it has been 100% effective since I started using it... Our new place in South Texas was BAD this year for ticks AND chiggers (redbugs)... We got ate up first time out... Not a single one since I started to treat my clothes/boots/shoes.

Sounds like you and the dr did a good job on recognizing what was going on. I would contact a lyme disease specialist and verify the type and length of antibiotics is sufficient. You dont get any do overs, and from what I hear it is extremely important to squash it in the beginning.

Very bad disease and nothing to mess around with. She sees a specialist in Marble Falls that is the best in Texas. Praying for you and be glad you have a Dr that found it. Most won't even test for it. Scares me to death every time I find one on me knowing what my MIL deals with on a daily basis.
Antler86, who is the specialist in Marble Falls?
