Custom gun stock out of a tree

Accusmith gunsmith he makes new fororeneds alot for high end shotguns out of chunks of wood and hand checkers etc. Not positive but I'm pretty sure he makes rifle stocks too. Worth checking. If he says he does it it will be done right

The stump of that walnut tree is probably worth as much as the whole rest of the tree if it's a big one! Stump grade black walnut is some of the most valuable wood there is. Your relative should do her best to have someone who knows what they are doing take that whole tree apart. If it's big, the furniture potential is off the charts valuable. Make sure somebody doesn't come in and essentially steal it from her by doing her a favor and cleaning up the property for her!!

She had someone come out a few years ago and offer her $25,000. But she thought the neighbor had sent the guy over and was getting a kick back. So she said "No!" LOL.

We have gotten in touch with a guy who has a sawmill and does high end furniture. He will do the slabs. I just need to get with someone who can do the stocks. Thanks for the input!
