Back when I hunted Davey Crockett there were old feeders like that all over the place.
Those old bruiser bucks like the one in your pic must have liked them.

you can actually set those 45's in the PVC as high up as you want to prevent some of the pig activity raven at chest high. The deer can still feed and only large pigs may try and rear up to get to them. It should work fine.
