Agreed. One of my new spots is kind of open up in the tree so I know I’ll need some camo. I’ve been looking at Kings Realtree Edge. It’s the closest to what I’m hunting now and into late season.

Y’all should look into Predator Camo Fall Grey. I primarily treestand hunt and it performs well

This is true. I recently read a study that blue jeans actually almost glow to deer.

Having said that, do you (OP) hunt out of blinds or tripods/treestands?

I’m primarily hunt out of a tree stand.

I wear plaid most times. It’s really not that pertinent. You just wanna break up your image. I need em inside 20 yards, if that tells you anything.

Buy what you think you look " best " in. The animals are not going to care. There are so many patterns, and it's all to make money off us. That said, I think ASTAT, and predator, large broken shapes, with contrasting colors work very well.

Blue is actually a color deer are able to see.

Well the deer in the hill country and my FIL' s place in east tx are color blind then.
Been wearing them on hot days for a few years.

I’ve killed wearing camo shorts... to me it’s more about movement. Or lack thereof.

I just buy whatever is on sale. Realtree, mossyoak, etc doesn’t matter to me.

All Black. Hunt out of Krivoman, Maverick and Tank End blinds. No trees big enough around here to hold a tree stand except for our pond and that is where the cattle hang out!

If you're up in a tree then Sitka elevated II is what you need. I started getting higher end hunting clothes a year ago and have quite a bit of Sitka. It is amazing quality and fit is perfect. Read reviews on it and make sure to get the right layers you'll need. Fanatic hoodie and the shacket are my two favorite pieces in the whitetail line.

I’d suggest making the camo pattern a secondary priority and start comparing different companies and their product. I personally like merino wool and use a First Lite layering system in the Cipher pattern. If you’re predominately a tree stand hunter, the Fusion might be the ticket.

I prefer solids in earth tones (browns, greens, grays) from quality clothing companies.
Solids / earth tones can be worn for other activities like fishing, hiking, foot ball games, etc so I get more use for my money.
The camo that I do have is usually on accessories like boots, gloves, hat, vest, etc.
All my camo is mix-matched.
I never wanted to look like dork with all matching camo.

I buy whatever is on sale. Mix n match, woodland, real tree, timberland, digital. It dont really matter, does it? I wear a 3D leafy suit a lot. Don’t wear camouflage in a pop up or box blind.

And I don't/won't look like a walking bulletin board for some brand with a BigAzz logo, just chaps me for some reason.
