This is normal. Usually a rut early October, then another aroun the first of November. Mixture of coastal genetics and East Texas genetics.

Breeding can happen at any time early or late. As of four days ago, I still have fawns with spots.

Same here. Have one fawn that is still covered and they aren't even starting to fade yet.

Hardin County early rut as usual
