    Hardin County early rut as usual

    The rut in southern Hardin County is usually the end of September to mi-October. Proof in the pic. Actually a backyard trailcam in near Lumberton.

              This is normal. Usually a rut early October, then another aroun the first of November. Mixture of coastal genetics and East Texas genetics.

                            Breeding can happen at any time early or late. As of four days ago, I still have fawns with spots.
