Grass help

So this has nothing to do with hunting. I know a lot of you guys do food plots. Long story short I built a house. Front 2 acres are full of weeds and Johnson grass. I’m wanting to till it up to plant either rye grass the fall, or do you think I should wait to spring to do the same but put out Bermuda. Or should I do both? It’s my first time and I’m not good at all this.

I'm not the grass guy but my wife had good luck on our lake dam mixing rye and bermuda, rye came up this time of year and bermuda came up in the spring. Common bermuda is the most hardy and can take the heat. I don't know what you need to do to keep the weeds and J-grass from coming back.
