Hey guys I kind of want to start a scouting thread to share tips and ideas on how you go about finding new spots! not asking to share spots obviously just ideas to think about when scouting! I mainly use google maps/ earth like everyone else when I cant get into the woods. my main focus is always finding oak flats bc these east texas deer will live and die off the acorn. then once I find that I look for deer sign tracks rubs scrapes ect. ima just post this picture to give yall an idea of what I have verified and you can see a noticeable difference in vegetation in the picture. ive worked my tail of scouting all off season roughly 50 square miles on foot and hoping the hardwork pays off once I get some time off work and into the woods
