I think the deer hunting would be productive along the Brazos drainages SW of DFW. In some places the river is a couple hundred yards wide w/ big gravel bars & grassy islands. I'm sure (especially during the rut), you could paddle in w/ a set of antlers - and pull deer into the riverbed. In Feb/March - we see deer, turkey, and pigs almost every fishing trip. If I didn't have too many places to hunt - I would check w/ my local GW, and look into this.

Great idea. But those land owners might have a problem with this. Even though you have every right to be there. Could get ugly.

It could def get ugly but then they would be guilty of harassment. I know a guy who does exactly that and carries a laminated copy of the rules of Hunter harassment. He has gotten into it and had the gw called several times...never received a ticket or got into any kinda trouble. Not worth the hassle imo but to each his own.
