No he won’t. Sorry. This 13 inch rule is so stupid. In three more generations in antler restricted counties I bet the average spread is 11 inches.

His right antler bends pretty upright. This might be one of those mature deers that get a pass in AR counties.

The quality of bucks has massively improved in the 3 counties I hunt in since ARs were passed.

Do you have other pics? I am having a hard time seeing which is the main beam on the left(well his right).

I would agree with you especially when cases like this are presented but I would bet my bottom dollar deer would be extinct in E Texas if no rules were in place. They almost did which is why the rules were enacted.

Maybe there should be a reward for those that have taken time to learn knowledge on the subject and an age rule is introduced so that deer like the one posted in this thread could be legally taken.

That sucks. He is a great deer that most people would be excited to get, but he is not legal.

The last 3 years he has been a slick 8 about 16" wide, this is the first year he has looked like this.

Don’t think so. Unless he changes he will live a long time. Or until someone doesn’t follow the rules.

Not legal. And while I am a fan of the rule overall, it has degraded my herd substantially since it's inception.

Yes he is legal. That is a mature deer and easily 15" ear tip to ear tip. His right side 2nd beam makes him legal and I will say he is 14"-15" wide.

He is 2" outside his ear on the left side.

Im going against the grain and saying he makes 13", his rack is deceiving because the way the tines lean in.

After seeing the 2nd set of pics, I'm calling the outside tine the main beam which makes him easily over 13".
