Video camera for hunting?

    If your just looking at saving memories, and not getting all concerned about looking " professional". The small canon hf series of cameras do a great job. I always look for the largest optical zoom, once you get into the digital zoom, pic. quality degrades. But you can film from a few hundred yards away in optical and works great. They are small and light weight, I carry mine in a fanny pack, with my binoculars and stuff. But being so small and light it's hard to hold them still. So I carry a small tripod with a fluid head added to it. Does great for watching with the family and friends. Not sure about YouTube and all that, I've posted one, but forgot how I even did it. But really clear video. I like it much better then saving photos. Oh yea, there like 250.00 - 600.00 ( depending on model) or something. I have the cheaper ones, very happy with it.

      My daughter films all her hunts she uses a cannon and a tacticam.

            Looks of really good canons and sonys for under $200 that are really good. By a cheap $10 tripod and your in business.
