The Brazoria County tree wouldn't say that to the Rockport tree's face, I can assure you.

I mean, partially because they're both trees and can't talk or move around and don't have faces, but also in the other sense.

Willing to bet there's a couple older ones sitting lost in some dense woods on someones property somewhere waiting to be discovered.

I'd build a tree stand so big in that dude it would make an arborist pass smooth out.

Bigol tree. This made me laugh, leave it to the feds to lose something that big- That thing is huge, and the back story of being found then lost and found again by the fed biologist adds to it.

There is a huge Oak in Huffman off 2100....believe it's over 500 years old

And it made me think of a cypress tree in the Saline river bottoms outside of Leola Arkansas, I wish I could find those pics. The folds in the trunk were large enough for a man to stand in, and the knees were taller than me.

                        Is it a live oak?

The 7th biggest live oak is in the property across the road from me. The limbs are bigger around than the truck on any other oak I've ever seen.

If I remember right the Fulton/Rockport tree is actually 6 or 8 trees that grew into one big tree according to DNA testing, it has 2 times the super structure as the Brazoria tree.
I think the Brazoria tree is also more than one tree as well.

                                That is a big tree

How do they determine which is bigger?

Calculate the total volume of wood in it?
                                Tallest measurement X widest width?

Razorback I would love to see pics if you find them
