    RV Title and Regestration

Last year I won a bid for a TT that had been totaled because of Harvey from Coparts. The trailer didn't flood but had a few soft spots in the floor due to the slide gasket leaking far awhile, that I fixed. Whoever owned it before me capitalized on the flood and got it totaled. I originally bought it to use at the lease but now I would like to try and figure out how to make it legal to pull on the road. It has a non-repairable Texas title and I have been trying to figure out how I can legally title it as salvage or whatever just so I can pull it on the road legally. Has anyone been thru this process or have any ideas on how to convert the title? There shouldn't been any issues passing an inspection other than the title problem, everything works as new.

a quick online search makes it seem that you can't do that.

Yeah I have found the same thing but just thought I would ask for input. I'm okay leaving it on the lease but it's a shame not to be able to use a perfectly good TT.

How would you go about getting a home made RV legal to use on the road? I know that's possible so I would assume you could use that process.

I was thinking the same thing but not sure if the process and if it would be legal to remove serial numbers and basically starting over.
