anybody have a weaver classic v scope? i am looking at the 4-16x42. looks good and have read some good reviews. also looking at the vortex d back in 3-10x50. any opinions? also if i go with the d back, i have leupold medium rings, will i need new rings for the 50mm? thanks and as always, have a blessed day.

Sambo, i'm about 99% positive that you will need high rings for the 50mm scope. My 40mm on my pro hunter has barely enough clearance with medium rings... so its safe to say that a 50mm will need the high rings...

the medium will work for the 42, but your gonna have to get high rings for the 50.Comment
