    Discount Tire

Got a set of Nittos a couple of weeks ago and have about 900 miles on them. These tires have my truck all over the road (F350) and trying to pull a trailer is a disaster.
Gonna head into the store tomorrow and see what my options are.
Has anybody else had bought a set of tires they just weren't happy with? What options did Discount offer?

I think you can throw the tire through the window if you’re not happy with it.

Mine did the same thing with my f-250. Put about 2000 miles on them and it’s good to go. Did you go with A/T or M/T?

They’re very good tires, I will be going back to them after this set is done

They will settle in within 1500-200 miles. I don’t know why they do that but the do.

Otherwise I’ve had very good performance through several sets of them.

MKK - when is the last time you had an alignment?

Truck only has 50k miles on it, the OEM tires wore evenly. Alignment is not suspect. Truck drove and towed fine before the new Nitto tires were installed

Love these tires but not as aggressive as what the OP mentioned having bought. The ATP's will be one of the best on road friendly tires that are light All Terrain you can find, great in sand and dirt along with wet pavement but horrible in the mud.

I ran Cooper ATP's for around 2 years and was extremely happy for what they were, until I got off road in wet terrain that is. Switched to Cooper STT Pro's and it was a bit squirelly at first but didn't take anywhere near 1500 for the truck to settle in with them. It was more like 500 miles max and honestly from what I remember, it was more like under a tank of gas. Apologies for not being more precise as it's been about 14 months since I made the jump.

Keep one thing in mind, the more aggressive tire you use on the street the more of a difference you'll feel. It's very possible the tires will wear into what feels comfortable to you but sometimes there's a normalcy adjustment period.
