My wife text me one day asking what she should do after she got that voicemail. I told her "nothing, it's a scam."
One of her friends got a call the other day from "the local sheriff's department" telling her she had a warrant for her arrest and that she needed to go buy some kind of card and put the fines on it. She actually went to town and put the money on a card. My wife said, "it all sounded legit!" Umm how the hell does any of that sound legit?

This month must be the month to hit up Texas numbers. We’ve been getting a bunch of calls this month also. It’s funny when they say the government has been trying to contact me and I ask if they have my address and the guy says “no we don’t have that on file”. Then I tell him “well that’s really funny cause both mine and my wife’s retirement checks for the military come from y’all, if in fact you work for the government”. Usually get the long pause and I ask if they are still there and then I’m told it was a mistake that I was on their list. It baffles me the lengths people go through to try and take advantage of people.
