    Identify this AR upper

Anyone know what manufacturer uses this makers mark? Got a 300BLK second hand (actually third or fourth hand) and the guy I got it from didn’t know what company it was. Just was wondering if anyone knew who made it.

Cant get pictures to load but the symbol looks like a keyhole.

I think this article will help you:

BTW, I own 2 AR-15 pattern rifles (Colt and PSA) and both have the "keyhole".

    Regards,

    Dave

The keyhole is a pretty common mark, as a lot of manufactures use the same forgings.

cerro forge. They make stuff for probably half the manufacturers out there.

So if its just a forging mark, how do you identify the company that machined it. Just got my new 7.5” in today and it doesn’t even have a forging mark.

Most of the lower cost uppers don’t have anything except for the forge marks on them.
