Thanks sir. I have a young grand son and was just looking for the right advice to give him.
Do you do anything to the bite before going to the hospital?
Immobilize, do NOT elevate above the heart, remove all tight clothing, jewelry, shoes, boots, etc, do not give the person anything to eat or drink, monitor for signs of anaphylaxis and get to the hospital ASAP. Usually, you will know within a couple of minutes if it was a dry bite or not.

No don't tie a tournequiette around your your arm or leg or anything. Don't waste time cutting the bite and trying to suck out the venom. The first time I got bit I took Benadryl because I figured if it works for dogs it must work for humans but it didn't. I also waited two hours before I went to the hospital which wasn't good. People have died in that amount of time after being bitten. I sucked blood out of the bite when it first happened but that didn't help either. It takes about 30 seconds and that venom has already spread throughout your body.
The second time I got bit I only got hit with one fang so I didn't accept treatment at the hospital. I went home and that wasn't the best choice ever but I lived so it turned out alright.
The best thing you can do is get to a hospital as quickly as possible and you should be just fine. Every thing I did pretty much do the exact opposite.
