    Looking to buy rock

We are about to seal the deal on some property and I will be needing to buy rock for a rather lengthy driveway. I am seriously thinking about buying a dump bed trailer that I can use to haul rock/sand/and just whatever else I want during the time we will be under construction. We are going to be buying some land between Emory and Alba, so I am interested to see if any of you guys know where I could find a rock pit or a place that sells crushed concrete to build a base with close to that area.

    Thank, BJW.

You might give a call to Chris Means. I will OM you his number. If he cannot do it I bet he knows someone that can.

You may be able to call a trucking company that works with Big City(dallas) to deliver you crushed concrete. From what I could find it is the cheapest material and very robust. Big City themselves will not deliver that far.

Denali Trucking delivered material from Big City about 80 miles away and it wasn't bad, cheaper than the rock I could find locally.

Using a dump trailer will cost you more in the long run. You can’t haul enough in one.

                  This.

I have a 24,000 lb tandem axle dual wheel 30 yard dump trailer, a 6x10 tandem axle dump trailer and a single axle dump truck.

When I need 18-20 tons of material delivered I call a real dump truck.
They get the material cheaper than I can. I actually save money having it delivered.

I’m in quitman and get crushed concrete and crushed asphalt all the time. No way in $&@% you would come out cheaper buying a dump trailer. Asphalt is coming f on forney I believe I’ll get some contacts and pm you tomorrow. Remind me if I forget

Belly dump was around $700.... dump trailer I priced a month ago was 17k and will haul about a 1/10 and actually dump

Was a 18 wheeler belly dumpof crushed asphalt. I’d have to look at ticket. 2 loads retopped our road about 2”-3” 10’ wide and almost 300 yards long
