    Ez Tag and boat/utility trailer

Do yall have an EZ tag for each trailer? I keep getting violations when pulling my boat on the grand parkway/beltway, and Ez tag is saying the only way to avoid it is to get an EZ tag specifically for the boat.

I have a feeling that I will be charged for 4 axels (2 truck and 2 trailer) on my truck Ez tag, and then for 2 more on the boat ez tag.

Please tell me someone has a way around this cluster of a

Pretty sure you can tow a boat no problem.

I hauled my kayak trailer and my ATV trailer over toll roads and I just get charged for the extra axle. Nothing about needing a tag TexTag for my trailer. Is your trailer license tag visible?

No tag needed to my knowledge.

Cant speak for ez tag but with TXtag I had to give them my RV license plate as well as any other trailer plate. They were sending bills left and right. Sending them plate numbers cleared it up.

Tag on my shop truck I had to supply them the trailer tag # and nothing else.

I have never supplied any of my personal trailer tags to them and never had an issue

              This.

Whoever told you tag on trailer is full of it. Been there done that (posted a thread). Add trailer tag to account at most. Both the belt and all sections of 99 (it's under like 3 entities) charge by the axle

                EZ TAG

Do I need to add my trailer to my EZ TAG Account?
                Last Modified May 11, 2017

As an EZ TAG Account holder, you are required to notify HCTRA of any changes to your account and vehicle information. Towing a trailer is considered a change to a vehicle and your account should be updated with this information. Multi-axle vehicles are charged a higher toll rate.

If you are towing the trailer temporarily, you can add the trailer to your account with EZ Plate. Learn more about how EZ Plate works here.

Note: Please check with other area tolling agencies about their policies regarding trailers.

                TX TAG
Can I use my TxTag if I'm pulling a trailer with my vehicle?
Yes. Sensors in the road will detect the trailer and take the additional charge for the trailer from your account.
