    Custom Strings

Need to put new string and cables on the Triax because as we all know Zebra strings ****. I have the builder narrowed down but having trouble deciding on material. Going with X99 or Mercury. X99 is a blend with less creep and a little more stable especially in hot conditions. Mercury probably a little more durable and possibly a little less stiff feeling on the shot but with potential minimal creep. Anyone have experience with either of these?

a little less creep than what? what is it compared too?

Had a couple of reputable string builders mention the different shot feel and I have noticed differences with other strings. Only wanting to compare these two materials. Just need someone who has used both materials to compare.

Not sure between those but I always go with one with 0 creep. I don’t want to have to retune every year

I put a set of Mercury built by Hogwire on a BTX. I shot it 16-20 times before starting to tune. I’ve had zero creep in 3 months or so and the strings still look great and i shoot a lot. These strings seem to show less wear or fraying than the 452’s or BCYx I’ve had in the past.

Good info, thanks. Have been leaning towards Mercury but was concerned about creep. Sounds like it shouldn't be an issue.
