One of my best friends works for kinder in accounting. He’s been there 8-10 years and loves it. The worst part for him was the travelbut he will either car pool or take the fort bend county shuttle. Downtown

I worked in downtown across the street from KM for five years. I was not in the cotrol room but supported the SCADA system the contollers used so I was in there a lot.


I road the bus (from Kingwood) and it was faster and cheaper than driving although I really got tired of it towards the end.


Control room environments can vary....some are laid back and some are high-stress. I don't know anything about KM's control room but I do know some folks who supported the SCADA systems there and they mostly had good things to say.

Not sure about KM but I worked in a closed in control room environment my last twelve years of employment. It was laid back but omg some of the 12 hour days/nights were long, never ending and boring.

I have multiple buddies that work for KM downtown and they all love it. Most take the shuttle as mentioned. Seems like a great company to work for.

I imainge you'll be on shift work as the controllers work 24/7. other than that, it wouldn't be bad.

Kinder is one of my biggest customers, and I spend a bit of time there when I’m in Houston. They’re definitely a good company to work for. I’m on the C02 side of things with them and not Pipeline though.

I am a controller...but not for KM....

Our control room is laid back...on days it is busy though

No sir. I’m a crew leader in operations. I work With pipeline controllers every day though. Pasadena is very busy but most of them seem to like it.
