I have had to have mine drilled out 3 times. I will never own another cannon. If you call and complain loud enough they will send you a new lock for it. Michaels Keys out of Fort Worth are pros at drilling them out, I think it was $350 for the to do it

My lock smith, who happens to be a good friend, says he has more calls about dials getting off than he does about key pads not functioning.. He tried to talk me into a keypad for my Cannon that he replaced the dial on but I insisted on the dial and now its giving me fits.. My other Cannon safe, with the key pad, has never gave me the first problem.. Knock on wood..................

If you go to looking for another safe- I ave a Fort Knox that I have had for as long as I remember with a dial and it still works without a hitch. It made it through 2 kids that loved to spin the dial.

Try getting a new battery first. One that is probably 2 or 3 years from expiring. If that doesn’t work call Cannon. Lifetime warranty. They will get you a lock smith for free. Of they have to drill it, they will replace it. That was my experience any way.

Just to reset, I got it to open. While open I locked it. I put new battery in it and still won't work.

Same here. I had 2 S&G dials lock me out.

                        Never again.

I replaced mine with an AMSEC keypad and no issues in the past 7 years.

Will it just plug in where my current pad does?

Yea I wish I would have listened to the PRO.... The S&G walked a number after only a few uses.. I watched him set it "dead on" and it worked for a few times and after that the search began... PITA!!!!
My middle # was the one that walked back 1.5 it appears..
A digital is in the future for that safe..

I just need a keypad and not the locking mechanism?
