    Anterless by Permit Only Question

    The TPW said;

    "Current deer regulations in Grayson County allow archery-only harvest of one buck, two antlerless deer, and four "doe-days" per hunter. The proposal is for TPWD staff to coordinate a volunteer data collection effort to collect harvest data at a county scale. It would keep archery-only hunting, but would change harvest regulations to a two buck bag limit with antler restrictions, and antlerless hunting by permit only."

    My guess is that the "antlerless hunting by permit only" is only for the general season. Is that correct? When they posted all their data and stats at the meeting they only talked about general season changes so I am assuming that it will be by permit only for the general season only?

    I've seen it asked on a couple of other threads related to Grayson county but have not seen an answer yet. If I missed it somewhere let me know.

    The way I understand it that does are legal in Archery Only season. No permits required. Then in General Season, you must have a doe permit to shoot a doe if no doe days exist in that county.
