Dove trees - who uses them

I'm going to go pick up a dove tree in the next couple days and I've never used one.

Anyone here use one regularly? Any tips besides the mojo in the middle and a couple of decoys on each side?

Never heard of it.. I don’t hunt under a dead tree next to a pond though. Dove love dead trees near food and water source.

Use in conjunction with dove barbwire fence and dove powerline for best results.

I have one I built years ago and still use it from time to time. Mine is real simple - I wire it to a fence post about 20 yards from where I plan to sit. I find it works well later in the season when the birds start shying away from Mojos. It has helped me limit many times on days when action is slow. Birds coming across the field will veer to fly over or near the decoys. I have a picture of it somewhere - I'll see if I can find it.

That's similar to what I'm talking about. The Game Winner one is 8' tall and looks like a T. It has holes in it for the clips and mojo to mount. Then it fold up and when not in use.

We use 2 of the game winner trees, spinner in the middle and one or two on each of the branches, then one mono spinner near the ground in between those trees. Works like a charm

My buddies laughed at me 15 years ago when I made one.

                They work. Especially in ETX.

Just put a blue tarp out and you’ll have dove lake next to dove tree

They work surprisingly well. The ones I made looked similar to jerp's. One word of advice, don't leave them out overnight. They work REALLY well at fooling owls. Every stinkin' one of my decoys got taken out.

Don’t laugh. I’ve done that and it worked better than just the tree alone. Plowed field so nice clean edges for them to feel safe landing.

I had a friend do the blue tarp with bird food on it easier to fold up and get rid of bird seed
