Any type of mesh is a pain in the rear keeping maintained. Weeds and grass unless you round up the entire perimeter.

Fence will be going on solid rock. Some spots may have 2-3" of soil...maybe.

This is my fence I built on a budget several years ago. I used a black solid stain and sealer.. Its about 100ft long and has lasted much longer than I expected; almost 9 years now. About 3 years ago I installed a section of hog panel between every post. The perimeter of my property is completely secured and I am very satisfied wit the results

I can't give you a cost because I got all the pipe free and my neighbor gave me a huge discount to have his guys put it up. Only thing I would do different is add a pipe at the bottom, which I will eventually do when I can aquire some more free pipe.

I really like this look. Going to be a lot of panels though!

$20/ft for 3 roll pipe fence in the dirt, no telling if someone has to drill every hole...

Ouch. You could buy a decent sized place around me and spend more on that fence than the ground itself!

At my first house I did square tubing 3" post and 2" top rail. Then welded hog panel between the post.

That’s what I am doing to keep my dog in and cows out.
One strand of slick wire around the top.

I think just drillin holes for the post will be more than the material!!!
I've been to your place. I would say just make sure the perimeter fence is good and let the cows have the rest. You may have to never mow your grass again!!
And you live on 587 acres. No neighbors. Dogs ain't going nowhere!!!

I just need the house blocked off on the one side. Can't have cows trying to get in my garage.

My dogs will run everywhere! Chase every animal on the ranch. LOL

I'm in the middle of doing mine, almost done. We did pipe with a top rail and going to put horse wire on. It looks good and hasn't been too expensive (if you DIY). I am paying someone to drive the t post that we are doing in the back of the property and most of them has said if you pay someone to do pipe and a top rail it's about $12-$15/foot for material and labor..
