Learned about Goggins from JRE (not the Goggins episode)...listened to Goggins' audio book and it was incredibly inspiring. Then listened to the Goggins JRE episode, which was a distilled version of his book. He's an incredible individual who has made it an art of being comfortable with being uncomfortable.

I pull from some of his stuff daily...especially the cookie jar and the accountability mirror. Helps on those brutal long runs and when I don't really feel like working out but know I should

Goggins, Andy Stumpf, Marcus Luttrell, Cam Hanes, Jocko Willink. Any of these guys will get you going and make you feel embarrassed to say you "worked out"!

      Indeed!

I’m now reading Jocko and Leif Babin’s books. So far I’ve read Extreme Ownership, the Dichotomy of Leadership, and I’m now reading Discipline Equals Freedom. I highly recommend these books!

Babin is a Navy Seal from the Beaumont area.

The Rogans where he has Jordan Peterson on are very good. They’re also very motivating...maybe not to Goggins level but still good to listen to

Rogan is entertaining, but I have a hard time supporting hypocrites.

Rogan supports the socialist Bernie Sanders for president and then Rogan moves to Texas when he gets his 100 million dollar pay day so California can't take their incomes taxes out of his windfall.

I have no problem with Rogan saving tax dollars, but don't do it when you support a socialist for president.

            Walk the walk.

I listen to this on audio book in the gym. After every chapter they actually talk about what was going on at that point in life and go into more detail. Super good.

I hate the profanity but he is a pretty smart dude. He has a good prospective on the world and it’s current issues.

They're all just his opinion though. He's big into hallucinogens. I think just because he's seen things on his "trips" he thinks he has a better perspective on things than most when in fact he doesn't know much more than your average Joe walking down the street. Pun intended.

That's just my take on it or the way it seems to me. Not saying he's not smart. I just think he tries to seem smarter than he is or looks too far into things. Everyone has their own opinion. Some just make their opinion more convincing. He's an entertainer though that's part of his job.

In a world that seems to let social media and things they see and read on the internet influence their opinions he's someone who thinks for himself. So he seems pretty smart but in reality that's how people are supposed to be. He's smart in a sense that he can sell his opinion. He's a good speaker. Which is why he has a podcast.

There's a reason he moved to Austin,Texas. I think he's just as far to the left as he is anything. I'm not a big fan of him honestly.
